DON'T VOTE LABOUR DOT ORG
While I have grown unhappy with the current Government, everyone knows my politics! I don't think ANY of them are worth voting for, and list M.P.'s even less so. I have never made a secret of that fact, and most people know my views on M.M.P. which is that we were promised a referendum, and we should have one so we can dump it to prevent the likes of Sue Bradford ever being able to damage family life in N.Z. ever again.
So, imagine my surprise when I discovered that the author of that tabloid style blog, whale oil, is also hosting the "DontVoteLabour" website. This is the son of ex National party president, John Slater. Cameron Slater is also a National Party stooge, he does their dirty work for them (visit: http://www.thestandard.org.nz/?p=895 ) so it is easy to see why Cameron Slater attacks CYFSwatch, by making up lies. Anyone opposed to M.M.P. (like myself) and CYFSwatch1 is fair game for Mr Slater, but alas, we were unknown quantities to him, so he made up lies and posted it as a scoop. The "scoop" was quickly picked up and reposted by David Farrar on his blog, and that was the end of it.
Most internet news sites in New Zealand, including CYFSwatch, have some standards and ehtics, Mr Slater does not. He has a hidden agenda which he hasn't shared with the people of New Zealand when he started hosting the DVL.ORG website after it was volluntarily closed down by the owner, the big question is, did he decide to host it because he cares about the voters of New Zealand, or was this an order from his National Party dog handlers?
But the DVL.ORG website has lost a lot of its appeal, it has morphed into a BLOG, which is not against the law, meaning other sites, like CYFSwatch are left to do the real fighting, and sites like DVL.ORG just want to make labour look bad, by hook or by crook... and if its hosted by a National Party stooge, then its by CROOK.
The only thing Slater and DVL.ORG are doing is showing Helen Clark was RIGHT to give us the Electoral Finance Act, thats all, because, while it pretends not to be, its actualy a VOTE National website. Anyone fighting this Act by publishing their website for the RIGHT reasons deserves an apology from Slater and the National Party, their just and honest fight has been hijacked for political reasons.
Its time to front up Cameron, and tell the truth.

Excerpts from http://www.killthebill.co.nz/?q=node/223 (ironic, the REAL people fighting the Bill don't like Cameron...)
"If that's political blogging at its best, what does the worst look like? You don't have to move very far from the centre to find out. Clowns to the Left, jokers to the Right: you get the feeling that if the blogosphere was an ecosystem, the far-Right bloggers would be bottom feeders."
"An age of new lows? Heine's image appeared mere days after another Right-wing blogger, Cameron Slater -- son of former National Party president John Slater -- tested privacy conventions when he put a photo of John Minto's suburban Auckland house on his Whale Oil blog, to argue that the property-owning Minto can't really call himself a socialist. Like Heine, Slater is also something of a Clark obsessive: at last count, there were 117 pictures of the Prime Minister in a gallery on his site, many digitally altered."
"It only takes a few people to make a big noise online, giving the misleading impression that New Zealand politics is dominated by a loud and angry Right. Trawl through the comments sections of New Zealand blogs and you start to see familiar names whose causes and manners can be identified from their pseudonyms: Redbaiter, Dad4justice, Insolent Prick."
From the comments section of that site on another story which features Cameron Slater:
Heh - third par starts

Heh - third par starts "National Party activist David Farrar". I knew it! Mind you "internet commentator Cameron Slater" doesn't sound quite right. Shouldn't that read "bigoted munter"?

someone posted THIS gem, which proves what the majority think of Cameron...

"Cameron:
If you'll stop hyperventilating for a moment, I'll actually take you at your word. But take some fucking responsibility for what you publish --exactly the same kind of accountability I'd expect Ruusell to man up and accept as the owner/publisher of Public Address. Hell, I'm also legally and ethically responsible for every word I say on PA Radio or blog over on High Windows. And so I should be.
You want some straight talk: That post was lame to begin with, and publishing that photo was fucking stupid.. So what if it was 'publically available'?. If I started digging, you might be unpleasantly surprised how much personal information I can obtain on you perfectly legally from legitimately accessible sources. Just because something is legal (or at least exists in a grey area) doesn't make it ethical or even decent to publish it. Or to put it in more general terms: Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should."

Slater/Whale is really just a spoilt narcissistic brat nobody has told to grow up.
I'm inclined to agree with Kiwiblogblog and the Standard that he, and his partner DPF will eventually eventually be seen by National as liabilities as despatched accordingly.

Nuff said, Cameron is an idiot, and shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone.
