Its been a long haul to get us this far, but this is the all new 2008 website. The site has evolved into a FORUM where you can now have your say on matters ranging from CYFS, to politics, to other Government departments and to Big Business. CYFSwatch has retired, and his place has been taken up by CYFSwatch2, a resident of Los Angeles. Normally, we wouldn't tell you anything about the man, to preserve his identity, but in disclosing this fact now, we have defeated in one foul swoop the hated Electoral Finance Act.
New Zealand law does not apply to citizens of the United States. In a further act of openess, CYFSwatch2 himself disclosed his real name as Dan (or Danny) to the world, and that he was a University student. It was disclosed a few months ago that CYFSwatch1 was located in Sydney, Australia. That was revealed after a few local people were accused by a blogger of being CYFSwatch, its one thing to help people like CYFSwatch did, its another thing altogether for a small minded son of a National list M.P. of making up a 'scoop' to boost his own ego.
CYFSwatch and the host of the site, Kiwi1960, discussed ways to minimise the risk to innocent people. What was decided was to reveal his location, which has the added bonus of defeating the E.F.A. It was also decided to turn the site into a Forum so people could tell their stories using their own language and emotions, this would prevent any accusations of lying by detractors of the CYFSwatch site.
But more than that, it was agreed that people should have a voice on political matters, which is their democratic and human right to do so, not to mention their freedom which was fought for during two world wars, some who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could have our freedom at all. To speak out on anything political for starters.
This Labour Government made a big deal about the stolen war medals some time ago, sure, they have been returned now, but Labour is two faced because they said those medals belonged to the people of New Zealand, earned by people, who in some cases gave their lives for our freedoms, which is a bit rich when labour gives us the freedom destroying Eledctoral Finance Act...
So, CYFSwatch has evolved to continue to deliver what the people want the most.... A VOICE, TO BE HEARD AND LISTENED TO....
If not by the politicians, then by their fellow New Zealanders who also respect free speech and what CYFSwatch is fighting for, a fair go. Most New Zealanders do not know what really happens when CYFS gets involved with a family, they go agaisnt their own mission statement which says they first try to help families anyway they can to stay together....
But, sadly, this hardly ever happens. After many child deaths for which CYFS must share the blame, the social workers have decided to destroy families and play it safe, it beats being hounded by the public and media if that child is killed by the parents while CYFS is supposedly helping them...
Worse, the "new" CYFS system treats all parents as bad parents and refuses to give them a chance to prove their worth, the many suffer because of the actions of a few, the same logic, incidentaly, which gave us the Electoral Finance Act. A small group in Christchurch with lots of money tried to lie their way into a National party victory, so now, everone suffers...
Just like CYFS, the Government treats all voters as stupid, most voters saw the deception for wha it was, lies, but no matter, labour knows better than the voters so rammed the Electoral Finance Act down our throats...
is it any wonder that labour is not doing so well in the Polls?
